Sporting Fingal v Bohemian FC, Morton Stadium, Friday 3rd September 2010, 7.45pm Bohemians go into a north Dublin derby against Sporting Fingal after three consecutive wins in the league and a confidence-boosting FAI Cup victory over Shelbourne. “We’re very pleased with the runs of win. We set ourselves targets for six league games and half-way through that series we have maximum points,” said Bohemians manager Pat Fenlon. “When these six games are finished, we’ll see where we are and set ourselves new targets for the last six. We aim to win as many games as possible and take advantage if other teams slip up.” Friday’s game is Bohemians’ third away game in as many league matches. Bohs have the best away record in the Premier Division, with nine wins and a goal tally of 23 (of a total 37) away from Dalymount Park. “Sporting Fingal will be looking to beat us on their home ground. There hasn’t been much between us in any of the games this season,” said Fenlon. Bohemians have two wins and a draw against Sporting Fingal in three league matches. Defeat in the Leinster Senior Cup was the only loss against the north county rivals. Fenlon’s selection choices are restricted for Friday’s match, with Raffaele Cretaro (hip) and Paul Keegan (thigh) injured and Ken Oman suspended. Steven Gray and Anto Murphy remain out with long-term Achilles injuries. Killian Brennan is recovering from flu but may be fit for selection. Reserve players Gary Burke (forward) and Shane Keeley (midfield) will be in the squad. |
