@bfcdublin In a match played in extremely windy conditions on Monday night, Bohs were in front before half-time when Stacey Nesbitt's shot from 25 yards out found the roof of the net. Bohs could have been further in front if it were not for some good saves from the home keeper. But five minutes into the second half, there was a huge turning point of the game. Bohs were awarded a penalty but the Bray keeper saved Rachel McLoughlin's effort. Less than three minutes later, Bray had equalised and then took the lead. For Bray's first goal, their No 9 was given time to shoot from just inside the area. Bohs keeper Carol Hanna managed to get her hand to it but the ball went in off the post. Bray's second goal was all down to the conditions. A shot from outside the area was heading straight for the Bohs keeper, but at the very last second, it changed direction with the aid of the strong wind. Bohs had several good chances to get back on terms from McLoughlin, O'Kelly and Deegan, but couldn't find a way past the Bray keeper. The home side got their third goal, despite Bohs' appeals for offside, and with 15 minutes to go, scored a fourth from a corner that Bohs couldn't clear. Good first half from the girls, very different second. BOHEMIANS: Hanna, O'Brien, Cryan, Carpenter, Creighton, Sinclair, Nesbitt, O'Connor, Moffatt, McLoughlin, Deegan. Subs: O'Kelly for McLoughlin, Cooney for Nesbitt, McAvoy for Deegan. Martin. |
