Setanta Cup rematch with Portadown E-mail

@bfcdublin Bohemians have been drawn against Irish League side Portadown in the first round of the Setanta Sports Cup.

The first leg will be played at Dalymount Park on Monday February 13th, with Bohs making the trip north to Shamrock Park the following week (Monday February 20th).

Aaron Callaghan's young Gypsies will be up against a formidable side - the Ports currently sit second in the Irish League table, seven points adrift of defending champions Linfield.

The draw is a rerun of the first round last year, which Portadown won 4-1 on aggregate.

In the first leg at Dalymount, a Bohs team that contained 10 debutants lost 2-1 to the visitors, with Karl Somers on the scoresheet for the Gypsies, who had Killian Brennan sent off.

In the return game at Shamrock Park, a comprehensive 2-0 victory saw Ronnie McFall's men seal their passage through to the next round where they were knocked out by Sligo Rovers.

First round draw: Bray Wanderers v Glentoran, Cliftonville v St Patrick’s Athletic, Lisburn v Derry City; Portadown v Bohemians. Bye:  Crusaders, Linfield, Shamrock Rovers, Sligo Rovers.
